The beaches of Marbella

Walk down any of its 27 kilometers of coastline means a physical benefit and a very healthy activity, the opportunity to discover the coastal history and wealth of fauna and flora of the area. Not only we can highlight the richness in terms of facilities, as far as restaurants, clubs, sports implants or hotels are concerned, but also the landscape and natural wealth.
Marbella is a paradise for those who enjoy the beaches. We have 23 beaches, of which currently 11 are recognized Blue Flag, badge awarded throughout the years the Foundation for Environmental Education to beaches and marinas that meet a range of environmental conditions and facilities. Compliance with the Blue Flag criteria requires compliance with water quality standards, security, general services and environmental management. 

Guadalmina Beach
This beach is located within the municipality of San Pedro de Alcantara, Estepona and bordering next to the village that bears his name.
It is a beach 1,600 meters long and an average width of 30 meters. The sand is thick and burdensome, dark golden tones. It is quite busy in summer as it is very close to Hotel Guadalmina, several beach clubs and beach bars with sunbeds. You can practise numerous sports like windsurfing, pedal boats, jet skis, etc ... In its surroundings are situated the Vaults, historic ruins of the third century, nestled in an area of archaeological protection practice. The state of the water is good and since 1992 has a Blue Flag.

Linda Vista Beach
It is located near the town of San Pedro de Alcantara, next to the village that bears his name. It has a length of 650 meters and an average width of 30 meters and is composed of sand / gravel dark.
It is a tourist beach with a high occupancy rate, although no summer period turns out to be a beach frequented by locals than by tourists. Among the services available are two beach club and a snack bar.
It offers good services and facilities of all kinds, it can be reached easily by car and its surroundings there are usually no parking problems.
The boardwalk is long and wide, perfect for jogging or just strolling in the sun.
In its northern part a protected archaeological area where you can visit the sites of the early Christian basilica of Vega del Mar is nestled.

San Pedro de Alcantara Beach

The beach town of San Pedro de Alcantara has 1,400 meters in length and an average width of 35 meters. It is semi-urban, rather touristy and its occupancy rate is high. It features a charming promenade by a pleasure sport, walk or sit and enjoy their terraces. The sand is dark dyes and proceeds from regeneration. You can also find rock zones. It has a moderate swell.
It has six bars with sunbeds and a beach club with pool and paddle tennis court. It has a large car park.
This beach has showers and public services, two oases shower, bins, watch towers, water rescue service and first aid, as well as vigilance of beaches during the summer season. Also free children's play areas.
It has Blue Flag since 1992 and the state of its waters can be considered very good.

Puerto Banús Beach

The beach is located next to one of the most famous and exclusive ports in the world has a length of 500 meters in length and an average width of 50 meters. The sand is white and fine and  nearly 1,200 hammocks are housed. It is located near the mouth of Rio Verde and urbanization and harbor of the same name, found in the town of Nueva Andalucía. Its occupancy rate is high during the summer as it is one of the most important tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol.

El Faro Beach

By its location and characteristics is nailed to the west of Puerto Deportivo de Marbella, more specifically between the harbor entrance and the jetty wrap himself in the town center of Marbella, near the Parque de la Constitution. It has a length of 206 meters and an average width of 35 meters, composed of native white sand in the area. It has 300 hammocks.
It is one of the most frequented beaches of the town, especially by tourists because of its proximity to the city center and the quality of services, so if you want to enjoy a swim in the beach or sunbathing have to get up early for to take place. It's a beach accessible on foot, by car although it is the least desirable means as parking in summer is almost impossible, and city bus. It is also a beach accessible for disabled people.
It is one of the most comprehensive in terms of services beaches, because it has all possible services: toilets, showers, daily maid service, rental of deck chairs, umbrellas and log, watchtowers, aid station, kiosks and bars. This explains the high level of occupation especially tourists.

Venus Beach

This beach is located in the town of Marbella, next to the River dam. The nearby fishing port of Marbella are the two sides of this small beach, which measures 500 meters long and has an average width of 40. It has 700 hammocks, offered by three bars. The sand is dark and proceeds from regeneration.
Being on the promenade of Marbella, facing the Alameda, in the surrounding restaurants, bars, shops, apartments are located, etc. The beach itself has all kinds of service and access for the disabled, and free public playgrounds.

La Bajadilla Beach

Playa La Bajadilla is in the village center of Marbella, with its fishing port and fishing district of the town. It measures 413 meters in length and has an average width of 35 meters. On its white sand visitors can find up to 300 hammocks and three bars.
This marks the beginning of the beach promenade of Marbella. The beautiful beach with other beach too busy, Cable Beach, which is so called by the now defunct wire carrying a pile where once the ships were carrying ore mines Marbella.

The Bajadilla is divided into two large areas of golden sand, separated by a narrow rocky strip that goes from the Varadero restaurant to El Fuerte Miramar Hotel. Then La Bajadilla continues through Apartahotel Princesa Playa, adjacent to the beach of La Venus.

Cable Beach

Cable Beach is located at the entrance of Marbella, next to the famous arch and fishing port and reaches to the mouth of Rio Real. It has almost 1,300 meters long and an average width of 40 meters, which makes it the widest in the city. It offers 500 hammocks, its sand is fine and dark and the waves are usually moderate.
It is not a crowded beach when compared with others closer to urban centers. It is ideal for families with children because of the low water height reached in the first few meters of the sea.
During the summer there are numerous events held here, such as volleyball tournaments, fitness sessions or competitions sand figures.
We can find in the port area parking and if you want to eat as there are several bars Snack Cable or taverns there in the fishing port.

El Pinillo Beach

It is located in semi-urban area, next to the village's Monteros and it has a length of 1,450 meters and an average width of 30, with a fine white sand from the natural dunes in its western part. It has 300 hammocks.
Its occupancy rate is medium / low, even in summer and usually frequented by families who prefer to avoid the crowds of downtown and conveniently near the leisure park Funny Beach beach club. At the height of the Trocadero Arena, this beach ends and adjoins beach Rio Real.
This beach is one of the best places for windsurfing and kitesurfing and also to learn, and here is Marbella Beach Windsurfing School.

Artola / Cabopino Beach

Throughout his 1,235 meters long and 25 meters average width Artola beach it is nestled in the protected dune area known as the Dunas de Artola. The sand is white and fine and is surrounded by a fantastic natural landscape that can be enjoyed from one of the 700 hammocks you have.
Artola beach is a typical place for tourists visiting the Costa del Sol in summer. Is one of the few nudist beaches located near Marbella. The normal bathroom usually a moderate swell. For its use can qualify as naturist beach, with average occupancy level, it is one of the most flirtatious marinas on the Costa del Sol, El Puerto de Cabopino and three beach bars and a campsite.
